XR Gear
Getting in gear! ⚙ 🦹♀️
Depending on the hardware you're using, you're going to need different types of equipment or gear, which in most cases include a headset, controller(s), and sensors.
Headset
Get a head start! 🤠
Your headset filters your visual perception and will define your Field of View. The headset will ultimately make your experience immersive. Because brands build their headsets differently, it's important to find a make that's comfortable, adapted to your usage, and within your budget range. Sensors
Get it? 🙄
Sensors are used to track your VR headset, VR controllers, and gestures when you're interacting in Space. Whether you're navigating about or creating an immersive masterpiece, the sensors are connected to your computer via background applications.
To have the time of your life with StellarX, it's critical to ensure your sensors are properly set up. You just might find some helpful tips in our safety article.
Controllers
Like controlla, controlla… yeah! 🕹
Your controllers allow you to interact in Space. Given that controllers vary in build and functionality, StellarX functions may be mapped differently. When you access StellarX your hardware and controllers will automatically be paired. In other words, StellarX will detect the controller type and adapt accordingly.
⭐️ It’s important to note that controllers are responsive and adaptive, which means that they can be used in either hand whether you're a lefty or a righty. Talk about handy-dandy! 😜
